What are cold room panels?

Cold room panels are generally manufactured using a sandwich panel structure. The outer surfaces of these panels are made of galvanized or stainless steel, while the inner part contains high-density polyurethane (PU) or PIR filling. This special filling material minimizes heat transfer, ensuring the stability of the internal environment. Especially in negative temperature cold storage facilities, panel quality directly affects system performance.

Cold room panels are produced in various thicknesses. Depending on the application, options such as 60 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, and 120 mm are preferred. For example, thinner panels are sufficient for +4°C storage areas, while thicker panels should be preferred for -18°C frozen product storage areas. At this point, choosing the right panel is of great importance in terms of both product safety and operating costs.
